Fernand Frimpong Jnr is an award winning presenter, producer and creative with experience fronting live events, panels, and television programming.

He is most known for anchoring hit music entertainment afrobeats TV show THL on international TV network VoxAfrica, where he made his mainstream TV debut in 2012.

His skills don’t end there: graduating from the prestigious BBC Production Trainee Scheme in 2016 ensuring a strong position both infront and behind the camera.

 

Fernand has had experience with youth engagement hosting national anti-social behaviour campaign ‘IS IT WORTH IT?' on behalf of Police Forces across the UK; and with the University of East London for panel events aimed at students looking to secure graduate employment.

 

He co-founded award winning student television station UniTV Sussex during his time at university. The station won 3 NaSTA awards in its first year of broadcast, of which Fernand came in third place in the Best On-Screen Male category.

 

His varied experience has seen him interview the likes of Alexandra Burke, Rough Copy, Chucky Venn, Joseph Marcell, Sir Trevor McDonald, Shingai Shoniwa of the Noisettes and Lemar amongst others.

Shooting up the ranks as a promising young presenter, fronting Screen Nation Awards coverage in 2013 and 2014 and to a global audience for the University of Sussex Informatics Open Day in 2010.

He has also taken the online video world by storm, starting off an online series called Fernand's Four Minutes on A Friday.

 

Fernand as a creative has also contributed as a copywriter to a number of companies, ranging from food and drink, music and design.

 

His energy and natural charisma saw him win an industry award Best Presenter at BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) Awards 2012.
